Local Director - Maressa Scherb

Maressa Scherb has been the local director in the Heartland Chapter since 2012. Before that time, Maressa worked part time in the summers all the way back to the year 2000. Maressa graduated with a degree in education from Simpson College. While in college, Maressa was challenged by the darkness being taught to children in America's schools and felt called to this ministry to counteract the current culture in today's schools. Maressa's vision for the Heartland Chapter is to see Good News Clubs in all 129 elementary schools.
In addition to her work with CEF, Maressa teaches online English classes to children in China and babysits her adorable nephew. She also volunteers on the board for Jericho Hills Campground in Lucas, IA. She currently resides in Dallas Center with her husband, Chris. In their free-time, Chris and Maressa enjoy fishing, hunting for mushrooms, spending time with family, and occasionally playing some Minecraft.

Favorite Verse: Philippians 4:19, "And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
